KickboxingOpen Guard BJJ's kickboxing program comes in two flavors; Cardio Kickboxing and Competition Kickboxing.

Cardio Kickboxing

Our Cardio Kickboxing classes increase flexibility, burn fat, and tone muscle. You can burn anywhere from 500-700 calories with our 60-minute workout. Unlike a lot of fitness-center kickboxing classes, we teach proper kicking and punching technique that is effective is self-defense situations.

The cardio kickboxing class begins with a 10-minute warm-up and stretching routine, followed by 3-rounds of shadow boxing. Once you are warmed-up, we move into fast-paced drills using heavy bags, Thai pads, focus mitts, body weight excercises, and multi-round circuits for an hour of non-stop calorie burning fun!

After class, we provide students with time to work one-on-one with an instructor or team mate to learn new techniques or drill existing ones. Our kickboxing classes are conducted in a fun and exciting atmosphere, with like-minded people that want to get a great workout while learning valuable self-defense skills. This is a no-contact kickboxing class .

Our Cardio Kickboxing program will not only get you in the best shape of your life, it builds confidence and gives you the tools needed for self-defense.

Competition Kickboxing

Our Competitive Kickboxing class is designed for athletes that want to compete. Our program in:cludes Kickboxing and Muay Thai instruction from some of the top kickboxing coaches in the area.

Competition Kickboxing is Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00pm-7:30pm, and Saturday from 8:00pm-9:30am.

Classes begin with calisthenics, strike conditioning, pad work, technical striking drills etc., and progress to technical sparring. Students must have a solid training history before they may be considered to attend our competition kickboxing classes.
